Here at Hike Doggie, “Dig Day” is a very special occasion. It’s reserved for those entrepreneurial candidates who have progressed to the fourth out of five steps in our franchise investigative process.
This final stage is known by other names in the industry such as “Discovery Day,” or “Meet the Team Day.” Typically hosted at the franchisor’s headquarters (in our case, Golden, Colorado), it’s an in-person evaluation similar to a two-way job interview that lasts all day long. Ultimately, both the franchisor and prospective franchisee are determining if they’re both a good fit to move forward with awarding a new territory.

A Jam-Packed Day
Yes, “Dig Day” is meant to be a whirlwind tour. We know your time (as well as ours) is valuable, so we’ve designed our itinerary to cover as many subjects and scenarios as possible. We’ve concentrated our efforts in five key areas as follows:
- Meet the Team – personal introductions to put a name with the face
- Bus Tour – witness dog pickups (and see the doggie excitement firsthand)
- Hike Time – you’ll participate in our of our signature dog hiking adventures
- Cleaning – what it takes to get these doggies fluffed and buffed for their return home
- Lunch – we’ll dine together before sessions on training, support, and marketing
