Hike Doggie franchise makes its way to Chattanooga area

Dog FranchiseThe nation’s only dog hiking franchise, Hike Doggie, is looking to expand from its home in Colorado to the Chattanooga metro area.

Hike Doggie founder Kath Allen announced the expansion plan to multiple new marketplaces, Chattanooga being one of several in the Southeastern United States. According to the press release, Nashville and Knoxville are also on the Hike Doggie expansion radar.

“Chattanooga has some sweet hidden treasures for you and your pups. Thanks to the proximity of numerous lakes, national forests, and historical spots, there’s a variety of options for a nice walk with your furry loved ones,” said Allen. “Hike Doggie exists to make dogs as happy as they make us, and we can’t wait to provide local dog parents and their dog soulmates with the enriching outdoor experiences they crave.”

The service entails an initial consultation between hiker and pet parent, in which they collaborate to make a doggie profile to determine which dogs would do well on a hike together.

Once a week, Hike Doggie will pick up the pooches in their “zen dens”, or a furnished bus with A/C, padding, and a shower system, for their two-hour adventure. Each excursion will include four pups, one for each hiker, and are offered three levels of speed based on the dog’s needs. The hikes are rated at $120 per adventure.

“A regular hiking program not only keeps doggies happy and healthy, but also provides solutions to common problems at home,” said Allen. “Hike Doggie is the perfect solution for dogs that experience boredom, loneliness, anxiety or weight issues. Our four-legged buddies deserve a life filled with exercise, dog pals, companionship and the great outdoors to explore. All dogs are welcome. Big dogs, small dogs, yappy dogs, fluffy dogs, pups and puppers, woofers and boofers, pupperinos and cutie-booties. You get the point!”.
