A Day in the Life of a Hike Doggie Franchise Owner
Ever wondered what life is like for a Hike Doggie franchise owner? If so, today is your lucky day, because our latest blog post is designed to give you an inside look at the day-to-day activities of franchisees in our network.
Our business model is predicated on meeting the desires of the dog parents in our home communities. Especially as more and more pet owners see the need in making sure their fur-babies are stimulated with activities that reflect an active lifestyle. It’s one of the reasons doggie day cares continue to do well. Dog parents want their woofers to enjoy unique experiences, while bonding with other dogs to learn socialization skills. It’s part of a balanced life in which they are well fed and well exercised.
Some have even coined a new term for this phenomenon – pet humanization. What it means is that many dog owners have a burning desire to provide their pets with human-like products and premier experiences such as dog hiking. But it’s actually more than that, which we describe in great detail below…
Before We Begin…
Hike Doggie wants to remind our readers that you need no prior pet care or experience to become a franchisee in our system. Thanks to the comprehensive training you’ll receive – and our close-knit, ongoing support – you’ll have everything you need to succeed as an owner in our network. It’s all about relying on Hike Doggie’s guidance and support.
Not Just Go-Getters, But Go-Givers
Many of our franchise ownership candidates are uncertain about recruiting dog parents to participate in our services. Our proven business model, which you must follow closely, will provide you with all the insight and instruction you need. Our corporate office works closely with Hike Doggie franchise owners to develop reliable weekly schedules for all dog hikes. To get started, you’ll meet with dog parents in your protected territory to answer their questions and schedule their doggies for Hike Doggie’s services. Now, here’s what a typical Hike Doggie day looks like…
The Big Blue Bus Arrives!
Dog owners and their pups can barely contain their excitement when our patented “Big Blue Bus” shows up at the front door. One honk is all it takes to get the ball rolling. Each dog is safely transported in our bus via a “Zen Den,” which is a euphemism we apply to avoid the word “crate.” Our mobile buses are also equipped with AC and a shower system. These amenities are purely for their safety and that of the other dogs scheduled to hike that day. And keep in mind, dogs LOVE riding in vehicles – it’s part of the fun!
Experiencing the Great Outdoors
As a Hike Doggie franchisee, you’ll have mapped out your hike in advance. And as you get closer, the dogs begin to perk up even more from their Zen Dens, knowing the destination approaches. Once the bus stops and the doors and dens are unlocked, it’s all about harnessing & leashing them up safely and in an organized fashion. Then – it’s into the wilderness for an unbridled adventure – a moment equally as exhilarating for our franchise owners as the doggies on the other end of the leash. Hike Doggie hikes last for hours, exploring the great outdoors in close detail. We soak up the sunshine, splash through streams, listen to the chorus of birds, and enjoy a job that doesn’t feel like a job at all. And just imagine how the dogs must feel! During our traverses, we take lots of doggie snaps (ahem, pictures) and pass out treats for our four-legged companions. These include KONG-filled goodies, warm soup in winter, and cool Apple Freezies in the summer. Keep in mind, Hike Doggie is positioned as a premium service – and our customers will get a premium experience. Every time.
Back to Reality
Once our doggies are good and exercised, it’s time to wind our way back home. We reverse the entire process, reloading each pup with great care into their personalized Zen Dens. It’s no secret that most of our dogs are hiked out at this point, and the gentle road noise puts them to sleep in no time for some well-deserved rest. We stop by each of our client’s homes to return the pups to their dog owners, with a promise to share all the magical photos of the day!
Back to the Home Based Bus Stop
Our Hike Doggie owners return back to their own home base Bus Stop once all of our pups have been chaperoned home. That’s when we get a chance to curate the day’s photos and share images of some of the luckiest dogs in the world. Of course, there’s usually some scheduling to take care of, an invoice to send out, and a few new client calls to make but that’s about it. And once our Hike Doggie franchise owners have a full weekly schedule, it’s early to bed so they can get up and enjoy another hike the very next day.
Hey, sure beats working behind a desk from 9 to 5, huh?
